The Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UWEC) Blugolds have not lost since week one. Game after game, they stay strong and find the win. Finally, their consistency has paid off on the rankings board as they move into the top five.

Hope moved back to No. 8 after two weeks in the bottom half. Juniata begins to recover from their two-game stumble, moving from No. 8 to No. 6 this week, to prove they are still the team fans know and love. No. 1 La Verne, No. 2 East Texas Baptist (ETBU), and No. 22 Virginia Wesleyan remain the only teams in the top 25 who are still perfect this deep into the season.

The Blugolds began their season against one of the best DIII teams—then No. 14, now No. 2 East Texas Baptist. Even before they had solidified their play, the Blugolds gave ETBU a run for their money in a 2-3 match. Statistically, UWEC outplayed ETBU in points (86-75), aces (7-3), and blocks (12-3). The game laid the groundwork for the Blugolds’ 13-game winning streak.

UWEC Tops Whitewater Volleyball

In their first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game, the Blugolds topped No. 4 UW-Whitewater. The game saw record attendance (2,134 fans) and handed Whitewater their first loss of the season.

Most recently, UWEC beat UW-La Crosse 3-1 at their home venue, the Wis. Sonnentag Event Center. The Blugolds continue to show their tight skills and team synergy.
