NE10 Conference Women's Volleyball 2025 Season Preview
The NE10 conference boasts some serious competition heading into the 2025 season that fans won't want to miss.

The only team to come out of the NE10 unscathed in 2024 was American International, which won its third conference title in four years and battled all the way until the NCAA Division II East Region Championship for a historical run.
Now the Yellowjackets return multiple key players to reclaim their throne once again this season, but conference opponent Bentley will be eager to seize that opportunity as the NE10 Coaches Poll preseason favorite.

American International ended the season at a 21-7 overall, 10-0 conference record, while Bentley took the prize for best overall record at 26-7, falling to both American International and Adelphi in conference play. The Yellowjackets’ perfect record could be attributed to the fact that they harbored the conference’s two best hitters, with Kiya Yeoman and Aleksandra Lucic, with Lucic also posting the second-most blocks as well. The two will unfortunately not be making a comeback for American International, but the Yellowjackets have plenty of talent from its young roster hopefuls to take the place of the departing veterans.
Bentley possessed the conference’s top blocker with Elizabeth Blinn, who totaled 170 and averaged nearly 1.5 per set, and the second overall hitting percentage at .220. Although it wasn’t enough to hand them the conference championship, the Falcons managed to overcome American International in the East Region Championship for their second consecutive regional title and move all the way to the NCAA Semifinals.

To some surprise, the NE10 Coaches Poll did not select American International as the conference runner-up, but rather Adelphi, thanks to one first-place vote to tip the scales. The Panthers did post the best hitting percentage, most total assists, and most total kills in 2024 and shared an 8-2 conference record with Bentley. Adelphi’s Kambel Fiser led the conference in assists with 10.6 per set and 1,260 total.
The only other team in the conference to finish with a winning season in 2024 was New Haven, which posted a 19-11 overall and another 8-2 conference record, but New Haven has since departed the NE10.
One team that could surprise fans this season is Saint Michael’s, who made a significant jump to a No. 4 standing in the NE10 Coaches Poll after finishing seventh in the conference with a 8-17 overall, 4-6 conference record. The Purple Knights bring on six freshmen with high potential while returning young playmakers Grace Almeida and D’Niaya Settles.
