The Nebraska Cornhuskers received 40 first-place votes, while the Penn State Nittany Lions received 21 votes. Nebraska ranks No. 1 in the preseason for the first time since 2022 and beats out the former national champion, Penn State.
The Huskers welcome head coach Dani Busboom Kelly along with an array of talented freshmen to revamp the squad in hopes of taking it all the way this time around.
