In the volleyball world's second national championship repeat in as many days, USC took down Pepperdine for the second time in the 2017 NCAA beach volleyball tournament to take home the title.

nullThe Trojans and the Waves met in the semifinal on Saturday, with USC taking that victory 3-0, but Pepperdine vowed to come back through the contenders' bracket, and did just that, defeating Hawaii 3-0 on Sunday morning to punch their tickets to the championship rematch.

In the final, Pepperdine scored first, with No. 4s Anika Wilson and Deahna Kraft defeating Abril Bustamante and Joy Dennis of USC in straight sets. The No. 5s court finished up shortly after, with USC's Jenna Belton and Jo Kremer evening the dual score 1-1.
