Top Teams To Watch At Mizuno Lone Star 18s Qualifier
You won't want to miss these elite girls' club volleyball teams that are competing at the 2017 Mizuno Lone Star 18s Qualifier in Houston, Texas, March 3-5, 2017.
Eight qualifier tournaments for USA Volleyball's Girls' 18s Junior National Championships have come and gone. This weekend, see the top teams from talent-rich Texas go head to head at the Mizuno Lone Star Classic 18s Qualifier in search of a bid to GJNC in April.
Six teams that rank in our Flo50 will be competing at LSC 18s in Houston on Friday, March 3, to Sunday, March 5, and you can watch the action from Court 1-6 LIVE, only on FloVolleyball.
TAV 18 Black might just have the most deadly lineup of any team in the country. Every single athlete on the roster is committed to a Division I college, and reigning Texas Gatorade Player of the Year Kylee McLaughlin quarterbacks the offense.

A Minnesota commit, 6-foot-2 outside hitter Sydney Kleinman headlines this dangerous Skyline 18 Royal team that also includes Tennessee commit Callie Williams and TCU signee Allye Beth Deaton. This squad will be missing the extra motivation of scoring a Girls' Junior National Championships bid, however, as it qualified by winning the Northeast Qualifier on January 23.

Dallas Premier's 18 Black squad finished third in the Tour of Texas Stop 2, beating AVA of Texas 18 Team Rox and TAV 18 Black. Keep an eye out for pin hitters Mackenzie Snowden and Logan Brown to lead the offense as Dallas Premier hunts for a GJNC bid.

With a 7-1 record, Houston Skyline 18 Royal finished third at the Lone Star Regional 18s Championships on February 11, losing only to AVA of Texas 18 Rox. Avery Skinner, a 6-1 outside who's headed to Kentucky in the fall, will likely be the team's kills leader, but 6-4 middles Lauren Burt and Grace Nielsen are going to be a blast to watch as well.

Colorado-committed setter Jaden Newsome will direct the offense for AVA Texas 18 Team Rox. Certainly not the biggest team in the gym, with only three players above 6 feet tall, AVA clearly has the ball control and game IQ to compete. 18 Team Rox has already collected some impressive results, finishing first at the Lone Star Regional 18s Championships.

Alamo 18 Premier posted a 7-1 record at the Lone Star Regional 18s Championships earlier this month, with Maryland-bound hitter Jada Gardner leading the way. This squad pulled off an impressive win over Houston Skyline 18 Royal at the Tour of Texas Qualifier in January, and it will be looking to replicate that success just in time to secure a bid.
