Recruiting Solutions: Utilize Your Resources
As you navigate through the recruiting process, utilizing your resources can significantly improve your chances of being recruited.

Ask your coaches to write testimonials you can use in your emails to college programs. You can even use a quote from them in your email signature. Make sure to change them out periodically, however. These are subtle endorsements college coaches can read to get a feel for your work ethic and character.

Make sure the coaches you ask for testimonials and choose as references will give you a glowing review. Touch base with them in advance and ask how they will describe you when a college coach calls.

As the sport of volleyball grows, it is becoming increasingly difficult for college coaches to filter which players they want to see at major recruiting tournaments. Keep in mind coaches are receiving hundreds of emails per week leading up to the event. Anything creative you can do to stand out will increase the likelihood of a coach stopping by your court to watch you play.
