Does the Recruiting Process Stop When the College Season Begins?
Entering the busy college volleyball season, many athletes ask whether the recruiting process comes to a halt. The answer is no. You may experience slower responses from coaches, but it doesn't mean they stop looking for future players or interacting with prospective student athletes.

Keep in mind that programs with a larger staff typically have an easier time communicating with recruits during the season, and you should be understanding if a coach with fewer assistants takes a while to get back to you.

Here are some tips on how to stay on top of your recruiting mission during the fall:

1. Follow your top schools' match schedules and results.
2. Tune in to your top schools' live-streamed matches when available.
3. Wish the coaches good luck in their next match, and be specific: "Good luck in your match against 'X' team."
4. Share video from your high school season.
5. When calling coaches, aim for morning instead of afternoon or evening.
