April Ross to Take Sabbatical After Rio
April Ross said she will take time off and try to start a family after the Rio Olympics. The soon-to-be two-time beach volleyball Olympian shared her plans on the volleyball podcast "The Net Live" (TNL) earlier this week.

I do want to be back, for sure, and make a run at Tokyo. I just love it too much.
Immediately following the Olympics, Ross will play in the FIVB Long Beach Grand Slam (August 22-28), AVP Chicago Open (September 1-4) and the FIVB World Tour Finals in Toronto (September 13-18). Then, she'll join her husband Brad Keenan in Tempe, Arizona, where he is the first-year Arizona State beach volleyball coach.

"We're going to try to start a family," Ross said to TNL hosts Kevin Barnett and Jeremy Roueche. "First priority. That will be perfect. I feel like I'm at a point where I'm going to want a good amount of time off. I just need to rest and refresh, but I do want to be back, for sure, and make a run at Tokyo. I just love it too much. I love the training, I love the process and the grind and all that stuff."

The break will be much-deserved, and we're sure the ASU beach players won't mind having a two-time Olympian around to share pointers.
