Americans Sarah Sponcil and Torrey Van Winden met Canadians Megan and Nicole McNamara in the bronze-medal match of the FIVB Beach Volleyball U21 World Championship. The three college beach volleyball stars (Sponcil at LMU and the McNamara twins at UCLA) and the Vintage High School senior and UCLA recruit Van Winden gave the fans in Lucerne, Switzerland, quite a show. Especially in this rally, which lasted for more than a minute and featured impossible digs, big blocks, desperation and tons of impressive perseverance. The Canadians ended up walking way with the win in three sets, 18-21, 23-21, 15-10.
