Washburn falls out of the top three, dropping from No. 2 to No. 6 just two weeks out from postseason play. No. 1 Tampa holds steady, while No. 2 Barry and No. 3 Nebraska–Kearney move into the top spots.

Washburn had jumped all the way from No. 9 to No. 2 in Week 6 following its 3-0 shutout win over then–No. 2 Nebraska–Kearney. The Ichabods held that position until this week—an unfortunate time to slip with postseason tournaments right around the corner.

Elsewhere, Lynn also took a tumble from No. 10 to No. 13. The Fighting Knights fell 1-3 to unranked Eckerd (14-10). It’s been an up-and-down season for Lynn, which opened the year at No. 1 before falling to No. 6 in Week 4 and continuing a gradual decline.

After winning the 2024 NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship, expectations were high for the program. Despite the drop in ranking, the Fighting Knights have played a solid season. Their younger players are gaining valuable experience that could propel them back to the top in future campaigns.

Western Washington climbed from No. 17 to No. 14. The Vikings have been steady all season, improving to 17-3 with three consecutive 3-0 shutouts over Montana State Billings, Saint Martin’s, and Western Oregon.
