Nebraska is the only team in the Big Ten with a winning record over Penn State. And on Friday night, in front of 3,763 Nittany Lion faithful, the Huskers improved their all-time record over Penn State to 19-10.

The 3-0 (26-24, 25-19, 25-20) Nebraska victory was a shockingly efficient display from the Huskers. They hit .347 as a team, the highest hitting percentage by a Penn State opponent so far this season, with senior outside hitter Annika Albrecht topping the stat sheet with 19 kills and three errors to hit .400.

Senior middle blocker Briana Holman suffered an ankle injury last weekend in a match versus Omaha, and Nebraska head coach John Cook had said he was unsure if she would be able to play in the Penn State match. But play she did, hitting a season-high 13 kills at a .750 clip.

On Penn State's side of the net, senior outside hitter Simone Lee led with 15 kills and three errors on 39 swings (.308). Senior middle blocker Haleigh Washington, who had the best hitting percentage in the country heading into the Nebraska match (.534), swung well under her average with six kills and one error on 15 swings, hitting .333.

Previously undefeated Penn State is now 10-1; the sweep its first 0-3 loss at home in 14 years.

Today, Penn State takes on Iowa at 4 PM ET in Rec Hall, while Nebraska will play Rutgers in the Scarlet Knight's College Avenue Gym.
