Kerri Walsh Jennings Is Launching A Beach Volleyball Tour In 2018

Kerri Walsh Jennings Has Some Big News

During a meet and greet with the 2017 First Team Under Armour High School All-Americans, Kerri Walsh Jennings announced she is launching a professional beach volleyball tour in 2018, and she plans on competing on it with Nicole Branagh.

The four-time Olympic beach volleyball medalist boycotted the established domestic beach volleyball tour, the Association of Volleyball Professionals, in 2017 because of a dispute over the AVP player contract. Instead, Walsh Jennings competed in a handful of FIVB international tournaments and the World Series of Beach Volleyball, an event founded by her agent and former AVP CEO and commissioner Leonard Armato, before suffering yet another shoulder injury in July.
