Track And Volleyball Standout Sanaa Barnes Doesn't Mind Being Underestimated
Opposite hitter Sanaa Barnes is an athletic all-star, earning state championships on the track and getting it done on the volleyball court for Byron Nelson High School and Madfrog Volleyball Club. Although undersized, Barnes' big hops have helped her compete at the highest level in both sports, and she enjoys surprising opponents who underestimate her.
Barnes won a Texas state championship in girls' high jump earlier this month, and next up, she and her Madfrog 17 National Blue team are headed to Long Beach, California, to compete in the 2017 JVA West Coast Cup.
