Gatorade Crowns Lexi Sun National Player Of The Year
Largely regarded as the top recruit in the Class of 2017, Lexi Sun can now add National Gatorade Player of the Year to her list of accomplishments.

Sun led her high school team to the California Interscholastic Federation Open Division Semifinals in the fall, collecting 630 kills, 288 digs, 60 blocks, and 45 service aces along the way.
The Texas-bound outside hitter is a FloVolleyball First Team All-American and a member of the Under Armour All-America first team. The MaxPreps and All-USA 2016 High School Volleyball Player of the Year has earned All-Tournament honors at USA Volleyball’s Girls’ Junior National Championships for four consecutive years.
Sun is the sixth Gatorade National Player of the Year from California, joining the elite gorup of Krista Vansant, Alix Klineman, Cynthia Barboza (in 2003-04 and 2004-05), April Ross, and Kerri Walsh Jennings.
