Top Nationals Finishers Dominate Final 15s Ranking

A total of 10 15-and-under national champions were crowned between AAU and USAV Junior Nationals in June.


The 44th AAU National Championships were held in Orlando, June 19-22, and OTVA 15 South Rox Red continued its incredible season with a 25-19, 25-17 victory against PNK 15 in the Open final. OTVA won the Triple Crown NIT and three qualifiers before the summer's championship season arrived.


Club Fusion 15 Red downed OTVA South Rox Blue 15-25, 25-21, 15-11 to win the Premier division, and Borinquen Coqui 15F Yarleen beat Texas Image 15 Mizuno 25-15, 25-22 to claim the Club division crown.


Topflight 15 Theta battled past Mizuno Sports Performance 15 Navy to win the Classic division, and Texas Shock 15s National slipped by Mizuno Sports Performance 15 Blue 25-22, 17-25, 15-11 to take home the Aspire division title.


TAV 15 Black topped off a remarkably accomplished season of its own by defeating Asics MAVS 15-1 25-19, 25-13 to win the Open classification at the USAV Junior National Championships in Minneapolis, June 26-29. TAV won the Tour of Texas Finals, the JVA West Coast Cup, and two qualifiers prior to Nationals.


TAV swept AVC Rox 15N Harvey 25-16, 25-22 in the semifinals, and Asics MAVS beat Mintonette Sports m.51 26-24, 25-15 in the other semifinal tilt. Asics MAVS 15-1 also had a big 26-24, 25-14 win over OTVA 15 South Red in the Gold quarterfinals.


Kokoro Volleyball 15-1 claimed the top trophy in the National division with a 25-17, 25-15 decision over HPSTL 15 Royal, and A4 Volley 15 Purple won the American division by sweeping OTVA 15 Tampa Rox Red 25-17, 25-21.


LIVEWIRE 15 Adidas took home top honors in the USA division with a 25-13, 26-24 win over OP2 15-1 EP, and Momentum 15 Elsa fought past Forza1 15UA 28-26, 14-25, 15-13 to win the Patriot division.
