The South Atlantic Conference Announces Women's Soccer Players Of The Week

The South Atlantic Conference announced its Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the second week of the 2022 season. Tusculum forward Brianna Garcia was named the offensive player of the week, while Anderson goalkeeper Jeanette Campbell was named defensive player of the week.

Garcia, a senior from Acworth, Ga., led the Pioneers to a 3-2 victory over West Alabama last week, as she contributed to all three Tusculum goals. She scored two goals and assisted on the third. Down 2-1 at halftime, Garcia put away the tying and game-winning goals for the Pioneers in the second half. With the win, Tusculum is off to its first 3-0 start since 2004.

Campbell, a senior from Piedmont, S.C., helped the Trojans improve to 3-0 on the year with a pair of shutout victories last week, as they defeated Shorter (6-0) and Belmont Abbey (3-0). In the win over Belmont Abbey, Campbell made nine saves and picked up the clean sheet.
