Towson Looking To Stay Flawless In CAA

Fresh off of conference wins, Towson and Northeastern are set to take the court against one another this Friday (Oct. 25).


Who: Towson (18-2 overall; 8-0 CAA) vs Northeastern (10-10 overall; 4-4 CAA)

Northeastern recently defeated Delaware in the Blue Hens home gym to improve to 4-4 in the CAA and 10-10 overall. Nailah Jenkins and Evelyn Gonzalez helped lead the Huskies to victory over the weekend as each recorded seven kills in their straight set win. But Jenkins added six blocks to her stat line while Gonzalez had seven blocks accompanying her kills.

Now they play host to Towson, which sits atop of the conference at an undefeated 8-0 in the CAA and an 18-2 overall record. Last week they recorded back-to-back wins over UNCW and College of Charleston to extend their win streak to 12 straight. It was also the Tigers first win over Charleston since 2015. 

Leading them to their eighth CAA win of the year was Silvia Grassini and Olivia Finckel, who each had 10 kills in the 3-0 sweep. Annie Ertz added eight kills, six blocks and an ace.
