USA Volleyball has announced the roster for its men's junior national team that will compete at the U21 Pan American Cup, May 5-10, in Lima, Peru.

Cuba and Canada have already qualified for the FIVB Men's Under-21 World Championship, July 18-27. The Americans need a first place finish next week to do the same.

The roster features four returners from a year ago: Devin Joslyn, Kevin Lamp, JT Martin and Garland Peed.

UCLA men’s assistant coach Spencer McLachlin will lead the way as the group's head coach. He will be assisted by Michelle Chatman of USAV High Performance and Ben Duckworth.

“We have a great staff and athletes who are ready to work hard,” McLachlin said. “This will be a challenging event, as there are a lot of really good teams. I’m excited to see what these young athletes are going to do with their opportunity to perform in the USA system.”

The U.S. will be joined by Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico in its opening pool, with Canada, Chile, Colombia and Peru on the opposite side.
