USA Volleyball has announced the 14 players that will represent the country at the Men's Pan American Cup in Cordova, Veracruz, Mexico.

The stakes are high, as the top five teams will qualify for the 2019 Pan American Games, July 26-Aug. 11 in Lima, Peru.

Here's how the roster shakes out:

Setters: Jonah Seif (captain) and James Shaw.

Outside hitters: Kupono Fey, Ryan Coenen, Jake Arnitz and David Wieczorek.

Middle blockers: Price Jarman, Mitch Stahl, Matt Pollock and Brendan Schmidt.

Opposites: Arvis Greene and Kyle Russell.

Liberos: Kyle Dagostino and J.T. Hatch.

The team will be led by Pepperdine men's volleyball head coach David Hunt, along with assistants John Hawks (UCLA) and Greg Walker (Southern Cal).

"I talked a lot with John Speraw about not just where guys are right now, but who could help the senior team in the future," USA head coach David Hunt said. "This is an opportunity to see some guys who haven't played a lot in a match environment.

"We have a lot of size and physicality. So far, we're showing to be a pretty good blocking team."

The U.S. men are five-time winners of the Pan American Cup—but haven't claimed gold since 2012.

"Our challenge is going to be our ability to side out against teams that run something different than we're used to," Hunt said. "But I'd rather be in our pool than an easier pool and have to go from zero-to-110 in the quarterfinals and semifinals."
