Logan Eggleston Earns MVP Honors After Leading USA To NORCECA U20 Title

In leading the United States to its seventh Women's NORCECA U20 Championship in Aguascalientes—thus, qualifying for the 2019 FIVB age-group World Championship—Logan Eggleston also earned herself the Most Valuable Player award.

The U.S. Women’s Junior National Team dominated the Dominican Republic 25-20, 25-11, 25-20 in the gold-medal match on Saturday, capping the tournament with a perfect 5-0 record.

Eggleston, who was also named the tournament's Best Server, contributed eight points with five kills on 18 swings, two aces and a block in the title match.

“I am so excited. I am so proud of our team,” Eggleston said. “We played so hard tonight. I am so happy right now. I think we just came out really strong. I don’t think they were really expecting that. So I am really proud at how we played. We came out working together and being really good teammates.”
