Julie Darty Hired As New Mississippi State Volleyball Coach

The first of the Power Five coaching vacancies has been filled. Mississippi State has hired former Jacksonville head coach Julie Darty to take over for David McFatrich.

Darty spent three seasons at the helm of the Jacksonville program, accumulating an overall record of 58-60. In 2017, Darty’s Dolphins went 18-10 overall, and with a 12-2 ASUN record, earned the No. 2 seed into the conference tournament.

Before taking the head coaching gig at JU, Darty was an assistant at South Carolina (2012-13) and Villanova (2010-11).

In college, Darty played at Mercer where she earned ASUN All-Freshman honors nd led the team in kills per set all four years.
