AVP Manhattan Beach Open

Manhattan Beach, California

August 17-20

The Manhattan Beach Open brings almost 60 years of tradition out to the beach. The second "AVP Gold Series" event of the summer, the MBO will feature an increased prize purse and additional tour points up for grabs, so the stakes will be high. To kickoff the big weekend, a walk of fame ceremony will be held at the Manhattan Beach Pier to put 2016 MBO winners Emily Day/Brittany Hochevar and Casey Patterson/Jake Gibb's plaques on the pier.

USA Volleyball Cup | USA Men vs. Brazil

Hoffman Estates, Illinois

August 18 & August 19, 7:30 PM CT both nights

There's no greater rivalry in volleyball than USA vs. Brazil, and the U.S. men will be looking for redemption after losing to their South American foes in the World League semifinals. Brazil is the reigning Olympic gold medalist, but the USA won the two teams pool play matchup in Rio.

"Our matches with Brazil are always exciting," U.S. national team head coach John Speraw said. "At that time of year, both teams should be playing some of their best volleyball heading into the FIVB Grand Champions Cup."
