UC Irvine Hands Ohio State Men First Loss

UC Irvine handed the defending national champion Ohio State men's volleyball its first loss in almost 400 days.

Ohio State men's volleyball will not set a new NCAA men's volleyball win streak record.

After winning 42 matches in a row (third-best in NCAA history), UC Irvine traveled to Columbus and handed the Buckeyes their first loss in almost 400 days. The straight-set victory (28-26, 25-19, 25-20) featured a match-high 13 kills from Aaron Koubi of UCI and 11 each from Tamir Hershko and Thomas Hodges.

The Anteaters hit .361 as a team and held Ohio State to a .222 hitting percentage.
