Concordia-St. Paul Women's Volleyball opens the 2026 season at No. 1 in the inaugural FloCollege D2 Volleyball Rankings. See the complete preseason Top 25.

Preseason rankings come with an expiration date. Once the first serve goes up, every result begins reshaping what we thought we knew.

But we need a place to start.

The inaugural FloCollege Division 2 Volleyball Rankings begin with Concordia-St. Paul at No. 1, edging Tampa Women's Volleyball by the smallest possible margin.

Concordia-St. Paul enters 2026 after a 31-6 season that ended in the program’s 12th national championship match. The Golden Bears also went 19-1 in conference play and captured their 15th NSIC regular-season title. Few programs have matched CSP’s staying power: the Golden Bears have ranked outside the national top 10 for only eight weeks since 2003. They now open a season at No. 1 for the first time since 2018.

Tampa follows at No. 2 after opening last season 32-0 and reaching the NCAA Division II semifinals. The reigning South Region champions return 10 players, along with AVCA National Coach of the Year Brian Imperiale, and were selected as the favorite to repeat as Sunshine State Conference champions.

Then there is No. 3 MSU Denver, the team everyone is chasing until proven otherwise.

The Roadrunners enter 2026 as the defending national champions after capturing the first NCAA Division II title in program history. They will begin their title defense under first-year head coach Stacie Meisner and will be tested immediately, opening the season against No. 7 Ferris State on Aug. 27.

Point Loma and St. Cloud State complete the top five, while Wingate Women's Volleyball, Ferris State Women's Volleyball, Fresno Pacific Women's Volleyball, Barry Women's Volleyball and Nebraska-Kearney Women's Volleyball round out the top 10.

The depth stretches well beyond those first few spots. The NSIC, MIAA and GNAC each placed four teams in the preseason Top 25, and the Sunshine State Conference added three. There will be no shortage of opportunities for this order to change quickly.

Ask us again after opening weekend.
