Here's how to watch the NCAA Div. II Southeast Regional #1 and what to know.

Catawba College Baseball: What To Know

Record: 40-14

Head Coach: Jim Gantt

Catawba earned hosting privileges with 40 wins going into the postseason, and a South Atlantic Conference championship in tow. Winning streaks of nine and seven games powered Catawba in the back half of the season.

CC thrived with some of the most prolific offenses in college baseball, averaging 8.4 runs per game.

Players to Watch

Dylan Driver, Outfielder: Junior Dylan Driver sports a .372 batting average with a team-leading .628 slugging percentage. The outfielder has knocked out six home runs, three of which came down the stretch of the regular season.

The drive is also one of Catawba's three stolen-base leaders along with Sam Hunter (27) and Levi Perrell (21), successfully swiping 16 on 18 attempts.

Hayden Simmerson, Right-handed Pitcher & Infielder: Upperclassmen Payne Stolsworth and Austin Fine have been solid as Catawba's primary starters, while freshman Hayden Simmerson has been an effective weapon both in the starting rotation and coming out of the bullpen.

Simmerson's made seven starts in his 23 appearances, working 63 2/3 innings in total, during which he's mowed down an impressive 73 batters. Only Stolsworth's struck out more batters at 74, and down so in 92 innings.

Simmerson has a 3.68 ERA and made a team-leading six saves.

UNC Pembroke Baseball: What To Know

Record: 42-12

Head Coach: Paul O'Neil

The Braves finished the regular season with a flourish, ripping off nine straight wins capped with a dominant showing in the Conference Carolins Tournament. UNC Pembroke's 10-0 win in the championship-clinching matchup with Belmont Abbey marked the Braves' fifth outing in the winning streak scoring a double-digit number of runs.

Players to Watch

Joey Rezek, Outfielder & Catcher: With a whopping .413 batting average, .832 slugging percentage, 71 RBI and 20 home runs, Joey Rezek is the linchpin of a UNC Pembroke offense ranked fourth in the nation in runs scored per game (9.9).

Rezek has also capitalized on his outstanding .518 on-base percentage with 14 stolen bases on 14 attempts.

Jonathon Jacobs, Right-handed Pitcher: Junior Jonathon Jacobs has been UNC Pembroke's ace starter, boasting a 2.96 ERA with an opponent batting average of .226 and 61 strikeouts.

Jacobs has gone at least seven innings in three of his last five starts, rolling into the postseason with plenty of momentum.

Young Harris Baseball: What To Know

Record: 39-13

Head Coach: Stephen Waggener

Young Harris has an opportunity to turn things around after ending the regular season with a bit of a stumble. The Mountain Lions dropped 4-of-5 upon bowing out of the Conference Carolinas Championship with a loss to Erskine.

However, Young Harris put together a midseason winning streak of 10 games to highlight its 39-win campaign. This is a team with all the pieces to get hot and go on a championship push.

Players to Watch

Jeremy Begora, First Base: Jeremy Begora leads the Mountain Lions across a variety of batting categories, including home runs with 12; RBI at 52; and on-base percentage at .523. Begora's high on-base production is due in part to his 31 times getting on board hit by pitches. He's also racked up 28 walks.

Zachary Murray, Right-handed Pitcher: Zachary Murray has been Young Harris' top starting pitcher with 95 1/3 innings worked over 14 starts. His ERA over that time is a scant 2.83, with an opponent batting average of .227.

Murray has struck out 92, far-and-away a team-high, and given up just seven home runs in 348 batters faced.
