The MPSF Men's Volleyball Championship is about to begin, with defending champions UCLA at the top of the pile, garnering the No. 1 seed and first-round bye, as well as clocking in at No. 1 in the AVCA Coaches Poll and RPI to end the 2024 season.

Let's take a look at the final MPSF Men's Volleyball Standings, that decided the seeds for the upcoming tournament. Because conferences use conference records to determine seeds, teams with better overall records often have lower seeds. This can bring chaos and quite a bit of fun to conference tournaments.

For example, Pepperdine, ranked No. 9 in the nation in both the Coaches Poll and RPI, ended up with the No. 5 seed in the tournament despite having more overall wins than the two teams above them, Stanford and BYU. This also means that, should No. 7 Concordia and No. 6 USC lose their first-round games, UCLA could be matched up against a tough Pepperdine squad in their first game of the tournament.
