Adora Anae Sets New Utah Career Kills Record
With Utah leading 20-19 in the first set of its Sunday afternoon match versus Washington State, outside hitter Shannon Scully took the second ball in a broken play and tossed it up to senior outside hitter Adora Anae. With the crosscourt smash, Anae recorded her 1,621st career kill, passing former Ute Kim Tuner to claim the top spot in the Utah record books.

Anae finished the contest with a match-high 20 kills to bring her career tally to 1,635. The record-breaking performance capped a great weekend for Anae and her Utah team. On Friday night, the Utes defeated Washington in five sets (27-25, 26-24, 21-25, 23-25, 16-14), marking the first time Utah has beaten the Huskies in Seattle. Anae led that match in kills as well, putting away 25 on 61 total attempts.

Anae ranks fourth in the Pac-12 and 25th nationally with 4.37 kills per set.
