Veteran Talent Named To Preliminary USA Women's Roster
After some much-deserved rest, four veterans of the U.S. women's national team are back. Jordan Larson, Kim Hill, Foluke Akinradewo, and Rachael Adams were included in the recently released preliminary roster for the USA Volleyball Cup and FIVB World Grand Champions Cup competitions.

These experienced players rejoin the squad after taking some time off after a long, intense Olympic quad and their overseas professional seasons.

"For the upcoming World Grand Champions Cup, we have the possibility of incorporating several players with Olympic and World Championship experience who did not compete in World Grand Prix, players like Jordan, Foluke, Kim, and Rachael," USA head coach Karch Kiraly said.

Also included in the 20-player preliminary roster are Lauren Carlini, Carly Wopat, and Aiyana Whitney, who did not travel with the team to the FIVB World Grand Prix last month.

The roster will be whittled down to 14 prior to the USA Volleyball Cup exhibition matches versus Brazil on August 27 and 29 in Anaheim, CA, and the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup on September 5-10 in Japan.
