When & How To Watch Team USA At FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships
The 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships are coming up fast. The tournament, held every other year, will take place July 28 to August 6 and will feature 48 teams per gender, with 23 of those teams earning qualification through their FIVB World Tour rankings, 20 selected by their regional confederation (four selections from each of the five confederations), two spots awarded to teams from the host country, and three wild cards per gender.

The maximum of four pairs per gender from the United States qualified for the 11th edition of the beach volleyball World Championships, which features a $1 million prize purse. The U.S. has won one beach volleyball World Championship on the men's side (Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers in 2007) and four on the women's side (Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor in 2003, 2005, and 2007, and April Ross and Jen Kessy in 2009) and will be looking for it's sixth, or perhaps sixth and seventh championships at the 2017 event in Vienna

NBC owns the U.S. streaming and television rights for the World Champs. Click here to see the NBC Olympic Sports schedule, or go to NBCSports.com/live.
