Kerri Walsh Jennings and Nicole Branagh earned their spot in the qualification round of the 2017 FIVB Olsztyn Four Star event with a country quota victory Wednesday in Olsztyn, Poland. They defeated fellow Americans Emily Stockman and Kim DiCello.

The match was close from the beginning, with the first set going to Walsh Jennings and Branagh 28-26 and the second to Stockman and DiCello 21-6. Walsh Jennings and Branagh claimed the match 15-12 in the third.

The victory was a bit of redemption for Walsh Jennings and Branagh, who were eliminated earlier this summer from the FIVB Porec Major in the country quota round by a 21-16, 21-16 loss to Emily Day and Brittany Hochevar.

Walsh Jennings and Branagh earned a bye into the second round of the qualifier bracket and will take on China's Xinxin Wang and Chen Xue for a chance to advance into the main draw.
