The USA boys' youth national volleyball team will travel to Bahrain for the 2017 FIVB Boys' U19 World Championships on August 18-27. On June 18, USA Volleyball announced the group of 23 athletes that will attend training camp and vie for a spot on the final world championships roster.

Sam Shweisky, head coach of the men's volleyball team at Princeton, coached the boys' youth national team to a silver medal at the 2016 NORCECA Boys' Youth Continental Championship and is back to lead the team once again. He and his staff, assistant coaches Brad Keller and Theo Edwards, will work with the 23 athletes named to the training roster at camp in Lake Placid, New York, from August 1-15 and ultimately choose the 12 players who will travel to Bahrain.
