AVP Announces Gold Series, Increased Prize Money

The AVP has announced its Gold Series, an initiative to increase prize money at three of its beach volleyball tour stops this summer.

AVP Announces Gold Series, Increased Prize Money
The AVP has announced an initiative to increase prize money at three of its tour stops this summer.

The project, which has been dubbed AVP Gold Series, increases the prize money of the AVP New York City Open from $150,000 to $175,000, and the Manhattan Beach Open and Chicago Championships to $225,000 each.

The points of the Gold Series events will also be increased, with first place in New York earning 900 points instead of the usual 750. In Manhattan Beach and Chicago, first place will earn 1,200 points.

Here is the full points breakdown for each prize purse level.
