Want to know which 16s teams have the best shot at taking home the title and paid entry into the AAU National Championships this summer in Orlando, Florida? Check out our list below.

1. Asics KIVA 16 Red

Louisville, Kentucky

The players on KIVA's top 16s team mostly come from top Louisville-area high school programs Assumption, Sacred Heart, and Mercy. Duke commit Camille Nazor runs the offense as the starting setter and has led the team to two titles (at the Central Zone Invitational and the Ultra Ankle Bluegrass Tournament), a second-place finish at the JVA Rock 'N Rumble, and a 13th at Triple Crown.

2. Munciana 16 Ninjas

Yorktown, Indiana

The champion of the 2017 JVA Rock 'N Rumble will be on the hunt for more hardware at the World Challenge. Led by 6-foot-2 Arizona-bound outside hitter Bonnie Bostic, the Ninjas finished 14th at Triple Crown and seventh at the Ultra Ankle Bluegrass Tournament earlier this year.

3. Elevation 16 Balice

Mason, Ohio

Elevation 16 Balicemo finished second at the Central Zone Invitational and the Ultra Ankle Bluegrass Tournament and third at the Mideast Qualifier and Nike Presidents Day Classic. At JVA World Challenge, the Mason, Ohio-based squad will be on the hunt for its first title of the season, and coach Timothy Balice certainly has the talent on his team to pull it off.

4. Mizuno Sports Performance 16 Elite

Aurora, Illinois

Sports Performance 16 Elite won the Ice Breaker AAU Super Regional back in January and has since posted a handful of top 10 finishes, including a seventh at the Ultra Ankle Bluegrass Tournament.

5. Tri-State Elite 16 Blue

Cincinnati, Ohio

Tri-State Elite 16 Blue is feeling good after winning the JVA Buckeye Battle on March 26. Add to that a third-place finish at the Mizuno Sports Performance Presidents Day Challenge and you're looking at a team that could contend for hardware in Louisville.

6. K2 16 Adidas Hilby

Louisville, Tennessee

Team Hilby kicked off the season with back-to-back first-place finishes at the K2 Elite Invitational and Winter Bump Elite in Spartanburg, South Carolina. At the stacked Triple Crown Sports National Invitational, the squad finished 23rd but bounced back with a seventh-place finish at the Ultra Ankle Bluegrass Tournament.

7. MEVBA 16 Mizuno

Warren, Michigan

This Michigan-based squad finished ninth at the Mideast Qualifier in Indianapolis, going to three with Circle City 16 Purple and defeating LoneStar 16 Red. 16 Mizuno also ended up ninth at the JVA Rock 'N Rumble in January. Six-foot-three outside hitter Madeline Chinn is a player to watch on this squad.
