Kerri Walsh Jennings is on the market. Don't worry, she and hubby Casey Jennings are still happily married, but with partner of four years April Ross planning to take next season off to start a family, Walsh Jennings is in need of a new teammate.
The four-time Olympic medalist told the FIVB she plans to identify a few potential partners and then get them out on the beach a few times to see how they gel.
That said, there's a chance Walsh Jennings and Ross could still play together in 2017. If Ross and husband Brad Keenan are unsuccessful in starting their family this winter, Ross says she'll play the 2017 season and try again next offseason.

Imagine being that partner who gets picked up by Walsh Jennings, only to hear Ross plans on competing after all. Even if Ross doesn't return for 2017, there's the pressure to perform to try and prevent the Walsh Jennings/Ross partnership from reforming as soon as Ross is ready to get back on the beach.
Ross has already expressed her intentions to go for Tokyo, but Walsh Jennings was less certain.
"If I keep playing and go to the next Olympics, there is nobody I'd rather play with," Walsh Jennings said of Ross. "But there are no assumptions there. We would have to talk about it and figure it out."
