6 Must-Watch Teams at Nike Tournament of Champions
It's not every day you get to see the top high school volleyball teams from around the country compete head-to-head. But this weekend, that's exactly what FloVolleyball, and the Nike Tournament of Champions, have in store for you.

The tournament, played at four locations in Phoenix, Arizona, will feature 80 elite high school volleyball teams. Of those 80 teams, these are the top six, and you definitely won't want to miss an opportunity to see them compete live.

FloVolleyball will be streaming LIVE from the six courts at the Salvation Army Kroc Center on Friday, September 30, and Saturday, October 1.

1. Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, California)

Four Division I commits anchor this Mater Dei squad, currently ranked No. 1 in the nation. Utah-bound Shannon Scully leads the Monarchs offense with 170 kills so far this season, hitting .362. On the defensive side, it's senior middle blocker Taylor Cope who leads with 42 total blocks and junior libero Kelsey Campeau with a team-high 128 digs.

So far in 2016, Mater Dei is undefeated (13-0), but just last week, Redondo Union pushed the Monarchs to five. They will play national No. 21 Santa Margarita on Wednesday in their final match before heading to Phoenix.

2. Bishop Moore Catholic High School (Orlando, Florida)

The 12-0 Bishop Moore squad has dominated the Florida high school volleyball scene so far this fall. Six DI commits, including Washington-bound junior outside Shannon Crenshaw and junior setter Cameron Scheitzach, a Kentucky commitment, lead the charge.

Bishop Moore is ranked second in the first ASICS Flo50 Girls' High School Volleyball Rankings, but the Nike Tournament of Champions will be the ultimate test, determining if the Hornets have what it takes to take down challengers from all over the country.

3. Xavier College Prep (Phoenix, Arizona)

This Phoenix squad surged all the way to the Championship bracket final at the Durango Fall Classic. Only national No. 3 Archbishop Mitty managed to get the best of the Gators in Las Vegas, as they toppled nationally-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas, Torrey Pines, and Sacred Heart on the way to the final.

Texas A&M-bound Makena Patterson leads the Gators offensively and defensively, with a team-leading 133 kills and 47 total blocks. Other difference-makers on the squad include senior outside hitter Kristen Klein, senior libero Emma Cisneros-Luebke, and sophomore setter Shannon Shields.

4. Corona del Sol High School (Tempe, Arizona)

Brooke Nuneviller leads the No. 14-ranked Corona del Sol squad with 149 kills. The 5-foot-10 junior plays outside for her high school and Aspire club teams, but played libero for the 2016 USAV Girls' Youth National Team and in the high performance pipeline. She contributes plenty of digs for her Corona del Sol squad as well.

Other top contributors on this team include senior libero Camryn Tucker, setters Abby Meyer (junior) and Madi Reum (senior), and 6-4 senior middle blocker Lauren Forte. Corona del Sol is 17-1 so far this season.

5. Hamilton High School (Chandler, Arizona)

No. 15-ranked Hamilton has a bit of a rivalry brewing with Corona del Sol. The two teams have played each other twice already this season, splitting 1-1. Senior Preslie Anderson leads the offensive efforts for this Chandler-based team, collecting 188 kills so far and hitting .426.

Anderson's fellow Cal recruit Darian Clark is the next biggest kills contributor, with senior setter Shannon Ryan quarterbacking the offense.

6. Walton High School (Marietta, Georgia)

Walton has already packed in a ton of matches into its 2016 season. Currently 28-3, the Walton squad is led by a handful of sophomores: hitters Gabby Gonzales and Riley Spurlin, libero Molly Pember, and middle blocker Reilly MacNeill.

Ranked 18th in the most recent ASICS Flo50 Girls' High School Volleyball Rankings, Walton lost to Archbishop Mitty in the first round of the Championship division bracket at the Durango Fall Classic, but then defeated Kahuku and Torrey Pines to take fifth overall.
