The second week of the 2016 NCAA women's volleyball season, Minnesota, Florida State, Texas A&M, Alabama, Virginia Tech, and Temple made the journey to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to compete in the Puerto Rico Clasico.

This preseason tournament featured some fierce non-conference battles, including this one between eventual NCAA semifinalist Minnesota and sweet 16 squad Florida State. Watch AVCA 2016 National Player of the Year Sarah Wilhite on the outside for Minnesota, along with First Team All-American setter Samantha Seliger-Swenson and Second-Teamer Hannah Tapp. Honorable mention All-American Milica Kubura leads the offense for the Seminoles.
