The Most Lethal Clubs At Lone Star Classic
The Lone Star Classic is always one of the biggest qualifiers for USA Volleyball's Girls' Junior National Championships, attracting some of the country's top teams and players to Dallas in early April. Watch action on courts 35, 36, and 39-44 live all weekend long here

This year's tournament on Saturday, April 8, to Monday, April 10, is no exception--and these nine clubs are the most dangerous. Any time you see one of their teams across the net, you know it's going to be a battle.

9. Ozark Jrs

While you should always be ready for a battle when you face a team from this Arkansas club, 171 is the most dangerous of all Ozark Juniors teams this season. With University of Washington commit Ella May Powell setting and Florida commit Haley Warner playing opposite, this team finished first at the Texas Fest in early February and 15th at Colorado Crossroads.

Only one team from California-based Rage is making the trip to Dallas for Lone Star, but you will want to make a point to stop by and watch that squad, 17 Gabe, in action. The Colorado Crossroads champion featuring Arizona-committed setter Julia Handy, Ball State-bound libero Cathryn Starck, and future San Jose State pin hitter Whitney Barnes, ranks in the top five of our most recent Flo50 17s list.

3. KC Power

KC Power's top 15s and 14s teams are making the 550-mile journey south to Dallas for Lone Star, and they both have a good chance to make a splash in the Open division. KC Power 15-1 finished 17th at Colorado Crossroads, and 14-1 broke into the top 10 at the same event, finishing seventh. Both teams are ranked in the Flo50.

2. Skyline

Dallas-based Skyline Juniors' squads don't have far to go for Lone Star, and with 27 teams signed up, there's a good chance your squad will match up against one of these teams in blue and white at some point during the tournament. 17 Royal, 15 Royal, and 14 Royal rank in the top 10 of our Flo50, with 16 Royal and 14 Black ranking in the top 50, so we're expecting many Skyline squads to go deep into the tournament.
