Italian beach volleyball player Viktoria Orsi Toth tested positive for clostebol metabolite in a sample taken on July 19 and has been provisionally suspended by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Orsi Toth, who qualified for Rio with partner Marta Menegatti, has requested a second test, which will be conducted tomorrow. If the doping violation is confirmed, she will be barred from competing at the Olympics and Menegatti will compete with a replacement partner, likely former University of Washington outside hitter Rebecca Perry.
