Volleyball Fads We're Not Proud Of
Over the years, volleyball has cycled through its fair share of trends, and we have all fallen prey to these fads at one point or another. Sure at the time, it seemed cool and hip, but eventually new trends took over. Today we look back at some of these and wonder, "What were we thinking?"

1. Turtle Kneepads

2. Long Spandex
Sure these were cool in the "let's make our thighs look like sausage links" kind of way. No thank you.

3. Turtleneck Jerseys
Suffocating just looking at this photo!

4. Bun huggers
Suns out buns out!

5. Collared Jerseys
Volleyball is not a formal event. Collars not required.

6. Chameleon Ankle Braces
For those of us who felt the need to mix it up.

7. Bows
The real game changer.

8. Pillowcase
When you just can't get enough: eat, sleep, and breathe volleyball.

9. Decorated Water Bottle
You're exhausted and in dire need of water, that extra sparkle on the bottle is just what you need to keep going.
